The Center for Mindful Learning (CML) is a non-profit organization devoted to improving lives and strengthening communities by offering mindfulness training that cultivates happiness, compassion, and success for the benefit of all people and all living things.

In collaboration with Shinzen Young and the Basic Mindfulness System, CML Mindfulness Education Director Soryu Forall has developed CML’s teaching systems to provide effective, practical, and meaningful training in mindfulness.

MINDFULNESS PROGRAMS

Mindfulness classes – Workshops – Ongoing programs – Mindful Yoga – Mind the Music

Schools: Programs for teachers, students, and administrators. Practical techniques that improve focus, reduce stress, increase compassion for self and others, and cultivate positive behaviors and goal-setting.  The Whole School Mindfulness Program (WSMP), an interactive web-based program that allows an entire school to practice mindfulness together, is currently in use in two schools in Vermont. In September 2012, the WSMP will be available to other schools. Read more.

Businesses: CML’s Mindful Professional Development Program teaches skills to reduce stress, increase job-satisfaction and performance, improve communication and collaborations, and elevate creativity. Read more.

Human Services: Programs are available for staff and clients.  Participants learn skill building activities for reducing stress, improving relationships, overcoming barriers to success, accomplishing goals, and building trust. Read more.

PRACTICE SUPPORT

Want to develop or deepen your mindfulness practice? We currently offer two practice groups in Burlington Vermont.

You don’t live near Burlington and/or would like one-on-one instruction? No problem. Starting in July, you will be able to sign up for a one-on-one practice support session and receive guidance from an expert mindfulness teacher via phone, Skype, or in person.

TEACHER TRAINING

If you are interested in making a career out of teaching mindfulness or adding to your skill set at your current job, click here for more information about CML’s 6-Month Teacher Training Program in Burlington, Vermont, starting in October 2012.

Coming in January 2013: both an online and an in-person, local 10-hour Mindfulness Facilitator Training Course.
